It's Now Official!

This Saturday I booked my ticket to Cameroon.

It's been a while since I left our cosy continent, but I'm excited about doing so again, and this time to a continent I've never even set foot on before. On the picture you see a 70s-looking postcard image of Douala, Cameroon's second city and economic centre, where my mate and I will be arriving. We'll be visiting another friend who is stationed their as a volunteer for the Peace Corps, a US government volunteering organisation for young Americans. His work is further up north, close to Chad, and from what he says, a good two-day trip to get there from the coast.

Though we're only travelling there in August (months away), I don't mind prolonging the anticipative fun! Now that everything is booked, it's really happening. But first a whole checklist of things need to be done in order to survive Cameroon in good health, or even to be allowed in.
